Saudi Leadership Receives Official Communications from UAE President and UK Prime Minister

The president of the UAE, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the British Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, wrote an official letter to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, with an aim of further enhancing strategic relations between both countries.

As Saudi Arabia is working towards developing a diplomatic relationship with different countries around the globe, it becomes important to note that as Riyadh plays a significant role in the international energy market, regional security environment, and economic development according to the 2030 vision, the continuous high-level diplomatic dialogue with strategic partners becomes very important in the foreign policy of the kingdom.

Saudi authorities messaged the Saudi Arabia vice minister of foreign affairs, Mr Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khereiji.In the first official meeting, Vice Minister Al-Khereiji accepted the written message from the UAE President addressed to King Salman during a session with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Kingdom, Matar Salem Al Dhaheri. The communication focused on further developing fraternal ties and mutual cooperation across priority sectors.

Separately, Al-Khereiji received the British Prime Minister’s letter addressed to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during a meeting with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Saudi Arabia, Stephen Charles Hitchen. Discussions centred on avenues to advance strategic cooperation, expand economic and diplomatic partnerships, and address shared priorities.

Alongside these diplomatic exchanges, the Saudi leadership dispatched official cables to international counterparts. King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman extended formal congratulations to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Ukraine’s Independence Day, emphasising continued goodwill. The King and Crown Prince also sent congratulatory cables to President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir following his presidential election victory and swearing-in as President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
