There was an important 10-day-long event related to livestock trading as well as culture that began in the central region of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday with the inauguration of the official Madraj Camel Auction at the Madraj Center located in Qassim Province.
This commercial event has been organised by the Shari Municipality and is overseen on behalf of the Qassim Region. It is under direct supervision of Prince Faisal bin Mishaal, the governor of Qassim Region. As per news reports by the Saudi Press Agency, the Secretariat of Camel Auctions is overseeing this event.

Spokesperson for the Qassim Region Municipality, Naif Al-Nafie, highlighted that extensive cross-departmental coordination was established to raise operational standards well beyond conventional livestock market formats. He emphasised that the collaborative framework among municipal and regional authorities provides a supportive, integrated environment tailored to both high-volume commercial traders and general cultural tourists.
Al-Nafie further explained that the combined efforts of multiple participating public entities in organising the venue and delivering logistical support services reflect a sophisticated level of institutional cooperation.
