Arabica Star Obtains Million Shariah-Compliant Financing from Saudi National Bank

The Star Arabia company, known in the commercial market as Arabic Star, has concluded a 15 million Saudi riyal ($4 million) Shariah-compliant credit facility with Saudi National Bank to expedite a long-term corporate expansion and fund targeted market acquisition across the kingdom.

The agreement introduced a five-year credit line to help to establish new commercial investment, boost a working capital reserve and maximise daily operational cash flows across its retail and beverage footprint.

The financial arrangement underscores a broader push among publicly listed Saudi enterprises to capitalise on structured Islamic banking instruments to fuel domestic growth.

By securing long-term capital from one of the Kingdom’s largest financial institutions, Arabica Star strengthens its position within Saudi Arabia’s rapidly expanding consumer ecosystem, directly supporting the nation’s ongoing economic diversification efforts under Vision 2030.

In a formal regulatory disclosure filed with the Saudi Exchange, Arabica Star outlined that the capital injection will be allocated toward several overarching strategic priorities. Beyond meeting primary operational commitments and enhancing working liquidity, the enterprise plans to utilise the facility to expand its current commercial branch network and evaluate potential corporate acquisitions within high-growth market segments.

To secure the credit line, the enterprise issued a promissory note equal to the complete loan value as collateral to Saudi National Bank. The official regulatory filing confirmed that the corporate transaction involved no related-party interests, adhering fully to standard governance protocols and transparency guidelines established for publicly traded firms.

The transaction highlights the critical role of domestic banking liquidity in backing high-growth enterprises listed on the Nomu-Parallel Market. Through access to flexible, Shariah-compliant capital, growth-stage corporate entities remain better equipped to navigate shifting market dynamics, pursue strategic scale, and maintain long-term balance sheet stability amidst an increasingly competitive regional commercial environment.
