Mona Tougaard Fronts Tod’s Latest Campaign Celebrating Italian Heritage

Mona Tougaard, an international supermodel and one of the top models of our time, is the face of Tod’s latest Fall/Winter collection, playing a leading role in its narrative campaign called “Italian Stories”.

The pictures were shot by the famous fashion photographer Alasdair McLellan in the northern Italian countryside at Villa San Martino. The photos reflect the series of private meetings taking place in typical Italian landscapes. The design is created under the supervision of designer Matteo Tamburini and combines the heritage tradition and new proportions of modern clothes.

Woman in a tailored black pantsuit stands beside gold geometric panels, holding a small gray handbag in a modern showroom setting.

The visual campaign highlights several key design updates introduced by Tamburini for the upcoming season. Central to the showcase is the reinterpreted Di Bag, which takes on a structured bowling bag silhouette while retaining its classic calfskin finish. The house also spotlights the T Signature Bag, featuring sculptural geometry and customisable finishes tailored for individual preferences.

Footwear developments include the hand-finished Metal Dots loafer, adorned with small gold studs along the heel, and the Red Dot Sneaker, a unisex urban design built with lightweight soles and elastic lacing. Among the ready-to-wear highlights is the Pashmy Bomber jacket, crafted from ultra-soft suede noted for its light feel and smooth texture.

Tougaard’s inclusion in the campaign continues her strong trajectory across top-tier luxury advertising. Born in Denmark and possessing Danish, Somali, Ethiopian, and Turkish heritage, she entered international prominence after making her runway debut as a Prada exclusive in 2019.

Since then, she has emerged as one of the fashion industry’s most sought-after faces, routinely headlining global campaigns and runway presentations for premier European fashion houses.

By grounding its Fall/Winter offering in themes of warmth, domestic elegance, and unhurried living, Tod’s continues to reinforce its core “Made in Italy” identity. The campaign connects refined leisure apparel directly to the brand’s artisanal roots, demonstrating how traditional leather craftsmanship continues to shape contemporary luxury wardrobes.
